We teach Integral Holistic Hatha Yoga based on the original Hatha Yoga taught in India for thousands of years. Hatha Yoga incorporates practices derived from ancient sources and it uses those practices like Asanas (postures), to balance the body and mind through the physical body, Pranayama (breathing practices) to work on the energy body (equated with Ki or Chi in other systems), and Relaxation and Meditation to calm and focus the mind.
Integral Holistic Yoga incorporates the whole person, not just the body. There is emphasis on awareness and mindfulness. Practitioners are encouraged to learn about all aspects of their personality through Hatha. Change is a process that takes place naturally as a consequence of regular practice with full awareness so that we can effectively improve the quality of our, not just physical but also emotional, mental and spiritual health to find balance and realize our purpose in life.
Classes are taught with emphasis on breathing, self-healing and stress management and are non-denominational. They are designed to promote physical, mental and emotional well-being and to help heal and integrate all aspects of the personality regardless of the religious beliefs or affiliation of the individual.
