Cassandra Lidin is originally from the Baltimore-D.C. area, where she initially studied yoga under Shariff Roberts and Moses Brown. Her first yoga practices included Ashtanga, Anusara, Sivananda, and Iyengar yoga.
She holds a Bachelor in Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art, where she was fascinated by the anatomical form and range of movement, and primarily focused on the creation of figurative works in paint, clay, and drawing.
With this deep interest in human expression, she wanted to continue to focus her studies in the art of Acupuncture and East Asian Medicine and its effects on the psyche and health of the body. She went on to earn a Master’s Degree in 5 Element Acupuncture from Maryland University of Integrative Health (formerly TAI Sophia) in 2004, and is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the State of Alaska. Her five year training included daily Qi Gong or Tai Qi practice to build discipline and inner listening, as well as to promote healthy Qi flow.
