Lucia Jones is a student of life and loves sharing the gift of yoga. She usually blends vigorous practice with gentle instruction, encouraging students to listen to and honor their own bodies, but also offers healing teachings based in mindfulness. She employs a yoga practice to clear her mind, and to improve her sense of physical and emotional balance. Her interest in the relationships between mind, body, nutrition and health led her to also study Ayurveda, Thai Bodywork, Buddhism, and other holistic approaches which inform her belief that wellness comes from considering and supporting all aspects of the self.
Lucia’s yoga training focuses on yoga philosophy, breath-centered therapeutic yoga, and study of spiritual texts. She brings her own practice of pranayama, meditation, chanting, asana, and spirituality into her classes, and considers every single practice precious and special.

“Truth is the same always. Whoever ponders it will get the same answer. Buddha got it. Patanjali got it. Jesus got it. Mohammed got it. The answer is the same, but the method of working it out may vary this way or that.” ~Swami Satchidananda, The Yoga Sutras
