Certified massage practitioner

Eva first became interested in holistic health care approaches because of her own health issues. An overweight child regularly sidelined by colds and other bugs, Eva began to lose weight in her late teens due to her discovery of yoga. It took 10 years to lose 50 pounds, but those years were full of personal discovery.

Eva explored many alternative health modalities before falling in love with Ayurveda. She found that Ayurveda illuminates the path of health in fun, creative, spiritual, and playful ways. She realized that simple, working knowledge of this health system provides insight into all dimensions of life, and provides a much-needed blueprint through the mysteries of health, prosperity, and happiness.

Eva is a professional member of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association, with over 1500 hours of training in Ayurveda, massage therapy, and Ayurvedic treatments. She graduated from the California College of Ayurveda in 2013, studying with Mary Thompson, Dr. Marc Halpern, and Brenda Igler. After graduating from the California College of Ayurveda, Eva spent a year interning and studying Ayurveda, Tibetan medicine, whole foods nutrition, and pancha karma with DeAnna Batdorff at the dhyana Center in Sebastopol, Calif. She also went to India with a group from the dhyana Center in 2014, studying aromatherapy and Ayurveda in fields of aromatic crops.

In addition, Eva would like to thank the many teachers from the Northern California Women’s Herbal Symposium for guidance, as well as her yoga teachers Yolanda Vasquez, Jessie Holland, and JinSung.

Eva is a cook, an experimental musician and composer, a writer and proofreader, as well as an Iyengar yoga enthusiast. She grew up in Michigan and now lives in Oakland, Calif. with her husband.
