KESHARI DAS is a National Ayurvedic Medical Association certified Ayurvedic Practitioner, offering traditional bodywork and educational workshops to the communities of New York City and Long Island. She comes from a family of satyagrahis – nonviolent freedom fighters in India’s independence movement – and her early exposure to Gandhian principles inspired her exploration along paths of mindful practice. Allured by the indigenous medicines of her motherland, she devoted herself to lifelong study of Ayurveda and is committed to sharing the teachings of this empowering wisdom tradition.
Keshari has over 1500 hours of classroom and clinical training from The Ayurvedic Institute, with Dr. Vasant Lad and faculty. She also completed a mentorship with Dr. Claudia Welch, Ayurvedic practitioner and Doctor of Oriental Medicine.
Keshari is currently honored to be working and living on The Banyan Botanicals Farm in Oregon. Otherwise she can often be found wandering the northeast, accompanying her partner in the practice of kirtan. In between, she dabbles in design and illustration.
